After February 28, 1991, the price of the tape set will be $33095. Historically, this is a first! Never before have videotapes of the International Tesla Symposium been available. If you were unfortunate enough to miss the symposium, then you should take advantage of this special offer today!
A New Tesla Archives Established
The Tesla Book Company has recently donated a portion of its archives to the Penrose Library in Colorado Springs. At this time, the library has started the tedious (and necessary) task of cataloging the collection-a process which could take up to six months. Until then, the collection will NOT be available to the public. Although the exact contents of the collection is undetermined, the very acquisition of the collection enhances the standing of Colorado Springs as a Tesla Center of Information.
During a recent interview, it was revealed that the library does not have a definite plan of action concerning the Tesla Collection. As a result, I can only surmise that the collection will be handled similarly to other genealogical material and that once cataloging is completed, the collection will be housed in the Palmer Wing of the library. Those desiring to use the archives will have to visit the library in person as the materials will most likely not be allowed out of the library. As a matter of policy (due to lack of funding and staff) the library cannot reply to written requests for information. I will keep you posted!
Fellowship for Tesla Enthusiasts
On February 24, 1991, from 1PM until 5PM the International Tesla Society is hosting a public meeting and open house at the Nikola Tesla Museum of Science & Industry, 17 East Las Vegas, Colorado Springs, CO. Videos from the 1990 International Tesla Symposium will be shown and projects being undertaken by the Museum and its volunteers will be demonstrated. Refreshments will be available.
The Board of Directors of the International Tesla Society has decided to hold these Fellowship Meetings on the last Saturday of every month at the Nikola Tesla Museum of Science & Industry. It will be an excellent opportunity for the general public and members of the International Tesla Society meet the directors and officers of the Society in a social setting.

Museum Improvements
Since the last issue, quite a bit has been happening at the museum. The Tesla Theatre is now 90% complete. Thanks to generous donations from Larry & Louise Spring and Thomas Bearden, we were able to lay down a carpet, put trim around the walls, and purchase some chairs as well as repair the TV and purchase a VCR. Still remaining to be done is installing a panic bar on the exit door and obtaining stage curtains for the entrance. We are currently on the lookout for shelves to store the videos in the Tesla Theatre.
We have some new items and demonstrations on display at the Museum. For Tesla Coil enthusiasts, we have a much larger coil in operation. The coil, on loan from Charles Henchal, is currently operating with only one tap of the neon sign transformer and is still able to break spark on a 5-inch sphere--an indication that the coil’s output is well over 300KV. Chuck’s Tesla coil is unusual in that it uses a bucket of oil capacitor instead of the typical glass/foil type capacitor. Soon, we will acquire a good transformer and increase the voltage--and sparks--by quite a bit!
During the past few months, readers have heard quite a bit about Tesla’s bladeless turbine. Now, visitors to the museum can see a couple of turbines on loan from Frank Macon of Mechanical Logistics, Inc. The two turbines in the museum will be covered in great detail in the next issue of Extraordinary Science. Let it suffice to say for now that they are prototypes built 20 years ago. Hopefully by summer, we will have working models for sale as museum souvenirs.
Last, but not least is our Electrolyzer. Built, last month, it is a small scale version of what we will be developing in the near future for actual installation in a car. Anyone who doubts the power of hydrogen should stop in and check it out.
We would like to invite all readers of Extraordinary Science to come by and visit us. As with all of our projects, we welcome your suggestions for improvements. We do caution you, however, this is still in the infant stage, so there is plenty of room for improvement and growth.
Upcoming Extraordinary Science Conference
The 1991 Extraordinary Science Conference is ON! From July 25 until July 28, the Extraordinary Science Conference will be held at the Hilton Inn, Colorado Springs, Colorado. The emphasis of the conference will be hands-on demonstrations and lectures. The topics will include Scalar Wave Technology, Tesla Coils, Tesla Turbines, Hydrogen Generators, Electro-therapeutic Devices and much much more. In addition to the speakers, there will be the on-site High Energy Bookstore, tours of the Nikola Tesla Museum of Science and Industry, and a Technical Hardware Bazaar.
Pre-registration has already started with a 25% discount to subscribers of Extraordinary Science who preregister before March 30, 1991. Those interested in speaking or purchasing booth space in the bazaar should contact High Energy Enterprises, Inc. immediately. Speakers will be selected on the basis of a 250 word abstract and outline. The conference will be both video and audio taped. At this time, we are planning on NOT publishing a proceedings.
If you have ever wondered on how to build a Tesla turbine or how to generate hydrogen in simple, easy to understand language, then this Conference is for YOU! See you THERE!!!
