1992 Tesla Symposium Details

The 1992 Tesla Symposium will be held at the Sheraton Hotel South in Colorado Springs. Amenities include complimentary airport transportation and guest services to assist with car rentals, tours, and local information.

A block of rooms has been reserved for Symposium attendees at a special conference rate of $65.00/night for single/double occupancy rooms. Attendees should reserve their rooms by June 1st, 1992 in order to insure that they will be able to get a room at the special rate. Reservations after that date will be accepted on an availability rate only and may be subject to a higher rate. Make sure that you mention the 1992 Tesla Symposium when making your arrangements.

Museum Expansion Proposed

The International Tesla Society has recently completed the initial steps in their application for a grant which will be used to significantly upgrade the size of the Tesla Museum of Science and Industry and acquire a property for the permanent collection of Tesla Artifacts. Top quality exhibits of a scientific nature will be displayed. Progress will be announced in the Society’s monthly Bulletin as they occur.

The Tesla Turbine

A group known as Shear Force Energy, is involved in bringing about a Tesla Turbine System. The group is targeting sales in the defense procurement market. The group was recently named outside consultants for an information dispersing company. They are providing engineering and structural advice to an agency seeking Tesla pump and turbine technology.

The group has a turbine product that is being refined for a third world environment. The turbine will eventually be interfaced with a solar device which will generate steam so as to power the turbine. The group announced that it will be doing extensive tests on the machines reliability and performance. Following what will be a series of hardcore field tests, the end product will be put into final production form.

There has been a great deal of interest in this product and the requests are still pouring in. The developers are cognizant of the many waiting applications for the turbine but are limited to keeping the research focus in this one area of development. They have assured us here at the Society that when they are sufficiently prepared for a general distribution product they will be making an announcement in Extraordinary Science. Introduction of the general model will come, in about another 12 to 18 months.
