Niagara Falls, July 14 — Nikola Tesla Wes a guest here over Saturday and yesterday. He bud not visited Niagara wince he uttered his predictions rewarding the magnificent industrial future of this region. Tesla was more than delighted with what he saw.

One of hie statements that is of peculler interent to Buffalo in that within a short time, as the result of patents of his, which are pending, the Niagara Falls Power Company can transmit power to Buffalo from this point at a lors of but one half of one per cent. That is very much less than the present loss, and if Mr. Tesla fulfills his predictions, It will mean much for Buffalo, as it would place it on a par with the fountain head of electrical energy. Mr. Tesla said that the development of this region had but just begun and that he looked for a much greater Increase in the present decade than was manifested in the last one. In the guest book of the Niagara Fatio Power Company, he wrote: "Nikola Tesla, whose residence is in New York, but whose heart is at Niagara."

Mr. Tesla left here for Pittsburg late last night. His visit was a pleasure trip as far as Niagara was concerned. Several of the Tesla patents are in use in the powerhouse.

Tests have recently been made of the new type of headgates leading to the first two penstocks of the Niagara Falla Power Company. The tests proved that the new type is an improvement over the old one.
