Tesla Sees Fleets Using Wireless Power

New York. — Nikola Tesla, inventor of the alternating system of power transmission, in an interview on his seventy-first birthday predicted that airplanes and airships would circle the world driven by light electric motors receiving their power by wireless transmission from generating stations on earth.

Power for manufacturing and for light and heat, he believes, will flow freely through the air from central generating stations to wherever It is needed.

"I have already demonstrated experimentally that I can transmit power by wireless half way around the earth without losing one-half of 1 per cent of it," he said.
