NEW YORK, Aug. 7. — Nikola Tesla, the electrical inventor, has purchased 200 acres of land at Wardenclyffe, on the sound, on which he will erect the central power station of the new system of wireless telegraphy, which he claims to have invented. The contract for the erection of the plant was closed yesterday. The main building is to be 100 feet square, and it will be occupied by an electric plant of 350 horse power. The estimated cost of this part of the plant will be nearly $150,000. The Wardenclyffe station will be the main one of the system, and it is stated that Tesla expects to be able to communicate with all countries of the world from that point.
