would exert a strong stimulus on students, mechanics and inventors of all countries. This would be productive of infinite good. Manufacturers would receive a fresh and powerful incentive. Conditions, such as never existed before in commerce, would be brought about. The economic transmission of power without wires is of all-surpassing importance to man. By its means, he will gain complete mastery of the air, the sea and the desert. It will enable him to dispense with the necessity of mining, pumping, transporting and burning of fuel, and so do away with innumerable causes of sinful waste."
Tesla went on to say that "my measurements and calculations have shown that it is perfectly practicable to produce on our globe, by use of these principles, an electrical movement of such magnitude, that, without the slightest doubt, its effects will be perceptable on one of our nearer planets, such as Venus or Mars. Thus, from mere possibility, interplanetary communication has progressed to the stage of probability. In fact, that we can produce a distant effect on one of these planets in this novel manner, namely, by disturbing the electrical condition of the earth, is beyond all question of doubt. This way of effecting such communication is however, essentially different from all others which have so far been proposed by scientific man. That we can send a message to another planet is certain, that we can get an answer is probable. Man is not the only being in the infinite, gifted with a mind."
The above paragraph contains some very interesting and significant statements by Dr. Nikola Tesla. Two years after the Wright Brothers made their first flight at Kitty Hawk, Tesla has made a public statement indicating that interplanetary communication has progressed to the stage of probability. He further made a positive statement that "man is not the only being in 'The infinite', gifted with a mind."
In the late 1930's Dr. Tesla ma de a world-wide press release announcing that "Interplanetary communication" was an accomplished fact. Many "so-called scientists", scoffed at Tesla's statement but those closest to him were convinced that he was in constant communication with "several other planets". It is said that it required two years for him to "break the code" before communications became possible. Thereafter, he devoted an average of 2 hours each day for 15 years, in his communication room, sending and receiving "interplanetary messages."
Further statements by Tesla concerning his magnifying transmitter are as follows, Quote:
"This machine I am building is but a plaything, an oscillator of a maximum activity of only ten million horse-power, just enough to throw this planet into feeble tremors, by sign and word .. to telegraph and telephone. Then shall I see completed the first power plant, that big oscillator which I am designing, for which a current stronger than that of the largest welding machine, under a tension of one hundred million volts, is to rush through the earth; to deliver energy at the rate of one thousand million horsepower.. one hundred falls like Niagara combined into one, striking the Universe with blows that will wake from their slumber, the sleepiest electricians, if be any, on Venus or Mars! It is not a dream, it is a feat of scientific electrical engineering only expensive in this down-hearted, doubting world! Humanity is not yet enough advanced to be willingly led. But who knows! Perhaps it is better in this world of ours that a revolutionary idea or discovery, instead of being helped and patted, be hampered and ill-treated in its adolescence by want of means, by selfish interest,
