NIKOLA TESLAâS EIGHTIETH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION PROGRAM

Reception of the distinguished delegates.
9:15 PM Meeting at Hotel Excelsior for introductions.
MAY 28
From 8 to 9 AM: Lectures in all schools across the country about Nikola Tesla and his work.
From 10 AM to 12 PM: Grand ceremony in the main hall of Kolaracâs Peopleâs University. The ceremony is opened by the President of the Organizing Committee, Engineer Ranislav M. AvramoviÄ, with a welcoming speech expressing gratitude to the honorary presidency, the committee, and foreign delegates. He then speaks about the significance of Nikola Tesla and the celebration of his 80th birthday, reading out greeting telegrams and letters. The President of the Society for the Establishment of the Nikola Tesla Institute, Professor Dr. Bogdan GavriloviÄ, is given the floor, who talks about the importance of establishing the Nikola Tesla Institute and officially announces its opening during the celebration of Teslaâs eightieth birthday. Delegates from various scientific institutions, both foreign and domestic, greet and speak about Nikola Tesla. The Committee President thanks the delegates for their greetings. The choir âNikola Teslaâ performs the national anthem before the opening of the ceremony, and the academic choir âObiliÄâ gives a short concert at the end of the ceremony.
At 12:30 PM: Reception at the City Hall.
At 1:30 PM: Lunch in honor of the guests hosted by the City Hall.
At 4:30 PM: Grand reception and lectures at the Engineering House. The President of the main board of the Association of Yugoslav Engineers and Architects, University Professor Engineer TomiÄ, welcomes foreign delegates. Lectures by foreign and domestic delegates on Tesla and electrical engineering related to Teslaâs polyphase currents, high-frequency currents, high voltages, and radio engineering related to Tesla and his works.
At 9 PM: Dinner in honor of foreign delegates.
