How Little Nikola Made Maybugs Turn an Axle
Little Nikola found other amusements too. Once, he caught four Maybugs and tied each of them with threads to an axle. Then he began to quickly rotate the axle, and at the same time, the Maybugs flew around it. Then he suddenly stopped rotating it, but the Maybugs continued their flight, thereby continuing to turn the axle. Little Tesla would spend hours with the greatest enjoyment watching this circular flight of the Maybugs and their rotation of the axle.
Thus, Tesla, even as a small child, found this interesting way to use natural force to rotate an axle.
