Nikola Tesla Books
But above all, it seems that young Nikola was fascinated by the flight of birds the most. He could spend hours watching the sky and joyfully observing birds fearlessly flying over great distances.
He believed that birds were the happiest creatures because from high above, they could observe many landscapes, cities, villages, mountains, and rivers, which is impossible for children since they donât have wings. Therefore, when birds soared far beyond the mountains, he would sigh sadly and regret that God did not give him wings so that he could fly with them.
Then he would spend many hours making wings and attempt to fly many times, but without success.
Nevertheless, he continuously carried that desire in his soul and dreamed about it.
As he grew up, he intended to somehow fulfill that childhood dream. He tried to create a âflying machine.â At that time, airplanes were not yet known. Still, Tesla managed to precisely calculate everything that was needed for these âflying machines.â
