Nikola Tesla Books
An Inspiration to Artists
The great inventor and benefactor of humanity Nikola Tesla has also inspired many Yugoslav and foreign artists for artistic productions dedicated to him. The American writer R. A. Johnson wrote the poem âIn the Tesla Laboratoryâ, and the great Serbian poet Jovan JovanoviÄ Zmaj wrote special verses and recited them himself in Teslaâs presence when the latter visited Belgrade on 2 June, 1892. The contemporary Yugoslav author Guido Tartalja has dedicated to Tesla a long poem.
Tesla also inspired some of the greatest Croatian sculptors such as Ivan MeÅ¡troviÄ, Frane KrÅ¡iniÄ, Grga Antunac, etc. Many other artists also dedicated their works to him.
