They agreed that small changes in rainfall, fog dispersion and the like were possible over local areas but it had not been possible to modify weather on a global scale. I pointed out that the method was supposed to be radically new but they countered this by telling me that no major changes had been observed in the weather over the last few years. It seemed to me that weather modification was another of those claims which seemed impossible to substantiate. No respectable meteorologist felt that the weather was being altered.
