Books written by or about Nikola Tesla

CHAPTER ELEVEN As I put aside this paper by Andrija Puharich I realized that I had come to the end of the Tesla file. I had read and studied its contents and tried to follow each of the leads it offered. Over the past weeks I had spoken to people who knew something about the Tesla magnifying transmitter and I now knew that it was an ingenious instrument capable of operating at very high power and at unheard-of voltages. No one, however, outside the members of PACE, had been able to hold out any hope for power transmissions. The only evidence that the whole process wasn't just science fiction came from Tesla's rather vague notebooks and as far as I knew the only other living witness was Dr Arthur Matthews, once Tesla's assistant, whom I had been unable to locate. What was there in the way of circumstantial evidence? The most pressing argument was from the suggestion that Russian scientists had built a Tesla transmitter and were at present using it to change the world's weather. Now, there were certainly some secret transmission experiments being carried out in Russia but it did not follow that they had anything to do with Nikola Tesla. As far as weather modification went, I could obtain no evidence except the claim made by Andrew Microwski. Now the time had come to collect my notes together and write a report. I was quite sure that given an indefinite amount of time I would be able to gather more facts - I could, for example, wait until Tim Richardson had built and tested his Tesla tower. I could locate and question Arthur Matthews and see if there was evidence of transmission experiments in Quebec. But I felt I had enough to go on. I allowed my thoughts on Tesla to form into a logical shape and began to sketch out the main ideas of my report. This process went much faster than I had anticipated and within a few days I found myself well into my first draft. 97
