Books written by or about Nikola Tesla

FROM THE EDITORS: As natural and social scientists and philosophers, the Editors realistically recognize and appreciate the fact that we all live in a biologically, ethno-lingually, religiously and ideologico-politically heterogeneous and pluralistic world of significantly different views about the past and present and significantly different aspirations and projected goals for the future. In every democratic society there are constitutional guarantees for the protection of these legitimate differences and their lawful expression in appropriate private and public contexts and through appropriate forums and media. The Tesla Memorial Society is not such a forum and The Tesla Journal is not such a medium. The Editors assume and realize that, privately and even publicly but beyond the framework of this Society, our esteemed membership already reflects the entire spectrum of ideologico-political preferences, from the so-called "conservative" right through the so-called "middle-of-the-road" center to the so-called "liberal" and even more or less "radical" left. Nevertheless, despite all these differences, we all, at least tacitly, agree that Nikola Tesla was a great creative genius whose inventions, discoveries, and still unrealized visions benefit all humankind and that it would, therefore, be an expression of supreme disrespect and gross ingratitude toward his illustrious name and memory were we to turn his honored legacy into an ideologico-political football. This is why the Editors most courteously but firmly appeal to all members and prospective members of the Tesla Memorial Society to keep in mind the opening words of its By-Laws and exercise maximum self-restraint and discretion in order not to project a narrow spirit of exclusiveness and intolerance into this noble human venture.
