August 18th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla

Dear Mr. Tesla:

The work of the shop continues on the third independent break, viz., the disk, armature, brush-holders, cover and armature spider, and the development of the pump. The progress in regard to the latter, Mr. Uhlman says, is most encouraging. 

The mail obtained to-day at the Waldorf consisted of only journals and a few circulars, neither have any letters been received at the office during the last few days.
