August 19th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla

Dear Mr. Tesla:

Your note and check of $200 for laboratory expenses were received this morning.

There must be some mistake about the bill of the Hammerschlag Company, a check for the same was sent last week already.

Mr. Uhlman says the work of the shop is on the armature, armature spider, pump and pump arm, brush holders and shaft of the third independent break, and that he himself is continuing on the design of the break with constant overflow feature.

I enclose a statement of expenses for the current week.
