Nikola Tesla Letters
Letters to and from, or regarding Nikola Tesla
August 7th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla
New York, Aug. 7th, 1899
46 & 48 E. Houston Str.
Nikola Tesla, Esq.,
Colorado Springs, Colo.
Dear Mr. Tesla:
Your check for $200 for laboratory expenses was received this morning. I presented it at the Bank and the receipt for $150, which I had to give on Saturday, was returned to me, and in addition I received $50, so that the cash on hand at present is $53.47.
Work on the bismuth filings, clockworks and third break, Mr. Uhlman says, is progressing as rapidly as possible. The speed of the second break he has found to be a little over 1800 revolutions per minute.
I inclose a few clippings, thinking that they might be of interest.
Respectfully,
Geo. Scherff
