December 4th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla

Dear Mr. Tesla:

The work of the shop to-day is on the revolving shaft, pump, spark rods and other parts of the new oscillator and on the mica condenser.

Mr. Uhlman inquires if the condenser for the new oscillator is to be built up of mica or wax paper. He says building up of mica strips gives much trouble and great difficulty is experienced in laying the strips.
