June 14th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla

Dear Mr. Tesla:

Mr. Wagner has to-day made the two tubes, and they are being sent off by express this evening. Considerable trouble was experienced in starting the vacuum pump, as no one knew how to work it.

The castings for the independent break have been received to-day, and Mr. Uhlman says they are being turned down, but the larger part of the day men have been engaged on the tubes and stands therefor.

No letters have been received to-day.

I inclose a copy of the German translation of the prospectus and bill from Mr. Hughes.
