Nikola Tesla Letters
June 16th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla
New York, June 16th, 1899
46 & 48 E. Houston Str.
Nikola Tesla, Esq.,
Colorado Springs, Colo.
Dear Mr. Tesla:
Your letter of June 12th, inclosing check for the Telephone company and one of $200 for shop account was received this morning. I note what you say in regard to Willie, he has not yet called here.
The men are all working on the independent break, particularly the castings. Mr. Uhlman requests that you suggest some new work for the instrument makers. He says they are at present fully occupied but when the details of the independent break are all finished, they will be ready for other work.
I sent to the hotel to-day for the mail and forward two letters found there besides circulars and magazines. The gentleman mentioned in Mr. Carus's letter has not called at the office.
Mr. Page has just sent the Belgian and French patents on Method of and Apparatus for Steering Moving Vessels, which I have put in the safe.
Please pardon my curiosity, if I inquire about the success of your experiments?
Respectfully,
Geo. Scherff
