Nikola Tesla Letters
Letters to and from, or regarding Nikola Tesla
November 20th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla
New York, Nov. 20th, 1899
46 & 48 E. Houston Street
Nikola Tesla, Esq.,
Colorado Springs, Colo.
Dear Mr. Tesla:
The work of the shop continues on the castings of the new oscillator, and on overhauling the old one, as making a new switchboard and other changes and additions.
This morning a crank called at the office, who labored under the illusion that you are persecuting him by electro-magnetic waves and have by this means ruined his health and brought all sorts of misfortunes upon him. It seems to be the same man who, about a year ago, was confined in the City Insane Asylum and about whom the doctor or superintendent of that institution wrote you at that time.
The two inclosed letters were received today.
Respectfully,
Geo. Scherff
