On pages 11 and 16, the receiving circuit is described as controlling both the propelling and the steering mechanisms of the boat. So far as can be seen, the receiving circuit does not control the propelling mechanism, The closing of either of the relays X', K" operates to turn the motor armature p in the one direction or the other, and thereby to turn the controller G. If the relay (K' or X") remains closed for a sufficiently long time, the controller will be turned until the brush 1 or the brush 2 has passed from the segment 22 to the insulated segment 23, thereby stopping the motor f. At the same time, the propelling motor D will be supplied with current directly from the main battery either through the segmenta 8 and 7 or through the resistances connecting the said segments with the adjacent segments 9, 11, 12 and 14. It is not understood how, under any circumstances, the plate G can be turned so as to stop the propelling motor D, nor how the propelling not or can be controlled as to its speed without at the same tine operating the steering mechanism. Applicent should add to the specification a description of the operation of the entire apparatus in directing the moyenent of the boat from a distant point, and should state just what 251
