JUDJEL JLLLL00DULCIULI LI To all whom it may concern: Be it known that I, Nikola Tesla, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York City, in the County and State of New York, have invented a new and useful improvement in apparatus for utilizing effects transmitted from a distance to a receiving device through the natural media, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing which forms a part of the same: 4 The subject of my present invention is an improvement in the art of utilizing effects transmitted from a distance to a receiving device through the natural media, and it consists in the novel apparatus hereinafter deP scribed. This application is a division of one filed by me August 1, 1899, Serial No. 725,749, and based upon and claiming the method herein. described and which may be practiced by the use of the apparatus forming the subject of this application. My invention is particularly useful in connection with methods and apparatus for operating distant receiving devices by means of electrical disturbances produced by proper transmitters and conveyed to such receiving devices er through the natural media, but it obviously has a widrange of applicability, and may be employed, for example, in the investigation or utilization of terrestrial, solar or other disturbances produced by natural causes.
