556 County of New York, ) : State of New York. ) Nikola Tesla, being duly sworn, deposes and says: I am the same Nikola Tesla whose application for Letters Patent on Art of Transmitting Electrical Energy Through the Media was filed in the United States Patent Office on or about the 16th day of May, 1900, renewed on or about the 17th day of June, 1902, Serial No. 112,034. The matter contained in the amendment dated August 26, 1903, to the above application, beginning with line 20, page 7, and ending with line 15, page 8, was a part of my invention, and was invented before I filed my original application. It was not known or used prior to my invention, or patented or described in a printed publication more than two years prior to my application, to the best of my knowledge and belief.
