Tower of steel and wood near Wading River, L. I., built by Nikola Tesla, the inventor, for wireless telegraphy experiments is shown in this picture. The tower is 150 feet high and stands over a concrete well 100 feet deep. Mr. Tesla's experiments were not successful. The photograph was submitted by Elliott M. Sanger, of No. 730 Riverside Drive, New York city, and was selected from photographs entered in the Herald contest. For each picture published the Herald pays $3. At the end of each week a prize of $5 is awarded for the best photograph used during the preceding seven days.
