Mr. Nikola Tesla was entertained by the Commercial Club, of Chicago, on May 13, and in the evening delivered an address before the club. Besides the members, many prominent scientists and educators attended the dinner in his honor, which was an elaborate affair. Mr. Tesla gave a number of interesting demonstrations, one of which was steering a boat from the shore, using a seven-foot model on a miniature lake, built in the banquet-hall for the occasion. His experiments did not begin until nearly midnight and lasted until a late hour.
