Thomas Alva Edison, the great American inventor, immediately realized Tesla's talent and gave him a job in his own organization thus helping Tesla to continue developing. Later on, however, he led a campaign against Tesla's inventions. Despite this, Tesla had a great appreciation for him and wrote:
