Thomas Alva Edison, the great American inventor, immediately realized Teslaâs talent and gave him a job in his own organization thus helping Tesla to continue developing. Later on, however, he led a campaign against Teslaâs inventions. Despite this, Tesla had a great appreciation for him and wrote: âI have always admired this unusual man and wondered that he could achieve so much without scientific training and proper education.â
Facsimile of a letter written to Tesla by the famous scientist Albert Einstein, the father of the theory of relativity, on the occasion of Teslaâs 75th birthday. The letter says (in translation): âDear Mr Tesla! I was happy to learn that you are celebrating your 75th birthday and that as a successful pioneer in the field of high-frequency currents you have lived to see the wonderful development of this field of engineering. I congratulate you on this great success of your life work. Albert Einstein.â
