Puharich has made a very long study of all the writings and patents.” 'It's really Tesla's own writings that worry me; they're so brief and I can't get enough detail out of them.' 'What do you mean?' Andrew asked. 'Well, in most scientific reports there's a lot of detail, with tabulations of experimental results, derivation of formulae and that sort of thing. It means that you can always go back and check to see exactly what was done. You really can't do that with Tesla.' Andrew smiled at me. 'You have to read Tesla very carefully, Dr Peat. Everything in the writings is very helpful. When you study his work you'll find a little sentence that you don't understand at first so it sends you back to something else. Very slowly you'll begin to understand what he was getting at. We've studied Tesla's writings for several years so, if you want to know anything, just ask.' 'Well, I may have to do that one day. Thank you.' Andrew smiled at me again. You must look very deep. Did you know that the patents are written so carefully that you have to follow them to the letter, otherwise the device won't work.' I joked that it sounded a little like a soufflé recipe, but Andrew did not laugh. 'I'm serious, Dr Peat. When Tim Richardson tried to build his transmitter at Timins, he found that he had to follow the patent exactly.' Andrew paused and looked at me, 'This is new technology we're offering you. It was discovered by Tesla many years ago but it's a whole new technology.' He was very serious for a moment, then his face broke out into a huge smile. It was time for both of us to leave.
