Thermomagnetic Motor

Tesla's thermomagnetic motor, patented in 1888, utilized temperature changes to alter magnetic properties in materials, generating motion through cycles of heating and cooling. By applying heat to demagnetize and cool to remagnetize iron cores, it created mechanical force without traditional electromagnets.

This innovative design aimed at efficient energy conversion from heat sources. While not commercially successful, it demonstrated Tesla's exploration of thermodynamics and magnetism, prefiguring concepts in modern magnetic refrigeration and energy harvesting devices.
