Nikola Tesla Corner

Nikola Tesla has his own corner in New York City at the intersection of Avenue of the Americas (6th Avenue) and West 40th Street in Midtown Manhattan. This is where Tesla spent many years feeding pigeons at Bryant Park on his regular route from the New Yorker Hotel to the New York Public Library at the opposite end of the block.

The information I have indicates that the corner was dedicated to Tesla in 1994. It would be nice to know who led the efforts to see this happen and other details. Please contact us if you can help us learn more.
