In the Morning Mail

“I have recently obtained two 807 pentode tubes...and would like some information tentative to tube driven Tesla coils using these types of tubes.” (D.J. Butler, 32 Kilnhouse Lane, St. Annes, Lancs, England FY8 3AA)

“I have analyzed the formula in the Durlin Cox article, Volume 17 #3, page 6, and find it invalid. The formula leads us to believe that increasing the length (of a resonator) will actually reduce the self-capacitance. That...is opposite to the results of experimentation which shows that, as one would expect, longer resonators have more self-capacitance.” (Robert M. Jamison)

“I enjoyed reading the material on Clara Rockmore and Leon Theremin...For anyone interested in a recording of the Theremin under Bockmore's capable hands, there is a CD available entitled “The Art of the Theremin” on the Delos label #DE1014...I purchased my copy at a Tower Records outlet.” (Ray Brubacher)

“I purchased THE WONDERS OF PHYSICS tape #15...It is great! It has a nice T.C. and very good demonstrations. I think that all TCBA people will like it.” (Bob Larson) Editor's note: See reference to “The Wonders of Physics” in the News Notes section.

“I'm sending the full $30 because it is well worth it.” (Steve Falco)

“TCBA NEWS is one journal I must have!” (Jack Giammerse, Jr.)

“TCBA NEWS...continues to be the most interesting and enjoyable publication that I receive, and I marvel at your ability to continually come up with excellent new material for each issue...I wish you good health, much happiness, and continued TCBA success in the coming year.” (Christopher Bonar)
