If you know anything about Nikola Tesla, you've probably heard the story of him blowing out the power plant in Colorado Springs with his 20-million-volt magnifying transformer. Thanks to the late William "Bill" Wysock, you can now see the receipt for the repair work performed to restore power to Colorado Springs, documenting this historic event.

Yes end did - The Nikola Tesla the Greatest Mind of our time, I can proudly say he was my inspiration for achievement on my own Patent in Fiber Optics "Quadruple Winding sensor". I was born just a few kilometers away from his birth place "Smiljan" and as I sad, it makes me a very proud to become a part of tiny little contribution to assign my name in the patent office of United States of America.

Thank goodness Mr. Wysock had the means and foresight to purchase these documents so they would be preserved and shared with Tesla enthusiasts and researchers. They provide a snapshot in time.

Wonderful site you have! I am looking for any correspondence that may exist between Mr. Tesla and Sam Clemens. I'm gathering any information I can find that gives insight into their relationship. My first exposure to Tesla was in the early 60;s when I was given a book by Inez Hunt and Wanetta Draper. Lightning in his hands. From there, everything "Tesla" has become a hobby, then an obsession, now a way to honor him. I'm an Actor and I will be playing Mr. Clemens later this year in a short film that is just Clemens and his only surviving daughter Clara, sitting on a porch, shortly before his death in 1910. Sam, with his mind sharp as ever, is in deep discussion with Clara, talking about his life, her mother, the comet, and his friendship with Mr. Tesla.
I need any information at all that is either anecdotal and sincere or, and preferably, factual. The point being, I am not attempting to do a work of fiction necessarily. My desire is to convey the sentiment of a true and honored.., and in deed, precious friendship, and how it developed, between these two giants of world history. Humor and Science aren't the point of my work on this project. While they ARE the reason and foundation for what became a unique, unusual and very important relationship between two men who both knew and detested the greed and avarice of other richer and lessor men of their time. Mr. Tesla and Mr. Clemens shall remain and be remembered as two giants of our culture who have contributed much more to our Society than they will ever be given credit for. So If you feel as I do and can help me in any way, you will be given credit for your information at the end of this film. Even for the tiniest scrap of information. It is the smallest of things that create the greatest change and growth for us all. Thank you for this wonderful effort to keep the history of the greatest scientific soul of the past several hundred years alive and vibrant here at this web site. Well done. John Hatfield
